Thanks, Harry & Meghan. We needed this.
We Americans desperately needed a distraction. Something to take our minds off politics. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle gave us this outlet. You could see their deep love for one another as they stood at the altar. The handsome bearded prince casting his adoring baby blues down on his stunning bride who gaze back with doe-like eyes and a sweet smile. We could read Harry’s lips when he said to his bride, “You look amazing.” The inspirational words of Bishop Michael Curry about love, the beautiful music, the awesomeness of the cathedral, the cuteness of the little attendants. For a time, all of it took our minds off the divisions in this country, the insulting tweets, the back and forth barbs. We were truly immersed in the special day. We came together as Americans, proud of one of our own marrying into British royalty in a fairy tale wedding.
Best wishes to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for a long and happy life.
