We were a divided country when 9/11 occurred, split

almost equally among Democrats and Republicans. But the tragedy of 9/11 brought us together as one America. We were all affected, no matter the political persuasion, religious belief, or ethnic background. We were ONE, grieving the terrible thing that had happened to America. Where are we now? Divided again. Not together on anything, including governing the country or improving American lives. Stagnation is damnation.
We have but one God and one country, and many, many citizens. Everyone wants a better future, but just like a dysfunctional family, you cannot thrive until you find common ground, respect the rights of others, and love with all your heart.
